Sculpture Exhibition at House for an Art Lover

Kate Thomson is exhibiting a selection of pieces within the Mackintosh Suite of rooms in the House for an Art Lover in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow.Kate is a sculptor who was based in north Japan from 1991 until spring 2007. Since starting to work internationally 20 years ago her practice has consisted mostly of creating site-specific public sculpture in stone to commission.

The exhibition is open from Monday - Friday: 10am - 4pm and from 10am - 12.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The House for an Art Lover is a recreation of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's 1901 competition entry. The Mackintosh Suite of rooms have been realised by contemporary artists and crafts people from the designs in the original portfolio, turning Mackintosh’s vision into reality. Visitors can compare these original drawings against each completed room.
