”This project is an excellent example of brownfield regeneration and urban infill development, utilising the space previously occupied by a car repair garage. It is unassuming on approach, tucked away along a private lane off Trinity Road. The building uses a split-level design, exploiting the steep level change and creating opportunity to provide garden ground to the lower level. The townhouses are efficient in plan, oriented to take advantage of the phenomenal views across the rooftops and out towards Wardie Bay and the Firth of Forth. The roof terraces are cleverly positioned to provide privacy but also maximise the opportunity for views out to the coast. It uses a simple material palette, allowing the high-quality brick and skilled detailing to take centre stage.

We were fortunate to be shown around a couple of the townhouses by the new homeowners and it was evident that these homes had been highly sought after and were much enjoyed by the occupants, which is a testament to the thoughtful, well-crafted design. After what sounds like an onerous road to completion, we are delighted to be able to celebrate the success of Trinity Mews.”
