EAA Invites... He! Architectur

Join the Edinburgh Architectural Association for an evening with Hé!, a young architecture practice based in Brussels exploring how sustainable, circular and regenerative approaches can shape architecture in an urban context.

Hé! prioritise renovation rather than building new, and infill rather than expansion. Their work seeks to use as many CO₂-neutral materials and circular building systems as possible, working with regenerative resources including bio-based and geo-based materials alongside 2nd, 3rd, 4th-hand - and beyond - materials.

Through their projects, Hé! challenge the idea that construction with regenerative and reused materials belongs primarily in rural settings. Instead, they demonstrate how these approaches can be applied within the complexities of the city, creating architecture that makes thoughtful use of what already exists while considering where materials come from and where they go next.

The lecture will offer an insight into Hé!’s approach, projects and wider thinking around how we can build - and rebuild = more responsibly.

Wednesday 15 October
Custom Lane, Leith

Doors open at 6:00pm, with refreshments available before the talk begins at 6:30pm.

We look forward to welcoming you!
