2021 EAA Awards for Architecture
LARGE PROJECT AWARD
WINNER
RYDER ARCHITECTURE
QUEENSFERRY HIGH SCHOOL
JUDGES’ COMMENTS
“The new build school delivers the message to the next generation of the importance of our built environment through the pride of attending an award winning school and an awareness of the standards required to achieve this. The project explored the complex nature of futureproofing buildings of this scale, developing POE proposals, maintenance plans, and a whole life cycle of materials. An important message from the City of Edinburgh Council with low carbon initiatives on this project, as they are now moving to deliver Passivhaus as part of their programme.”
