“As a judging team we were really enamoured by Renton Hall. There is a huge amount to commend here in promoting the high-quality use of wood, from the sustainably sourced British Douglas fir frame, the joiner-made doors and opening windows to match, the external larch cladding, use of wood fibre insulation and the bespoke hand-crafted timber shelving and storage. The natural materials provide a rich character and identity to the extension, which works harmoniously with the existing building. It all works together to create a comfortable and pleasurable home.”
