The EAA’s ‘Coffee with an Architect’ series brings together a guest architect and students to help strengthen their understanding of the realities of working in architectural practice, from building regulations and RIBA work stages to working with a design team and planning authorities.

These sessions are relaxed and informal, offering an open space for students to ask questions they might have been afraid to ask before and have a chat with the guest architect and members of the EAA. Discussions aim to delve into the details of the project process; planning and building warrant stages, construction drawings, design considerations and problem solving.

The series is currently run for ESALA students as part of the EAA’s ongoing relationship with supporting professional studies at ESALA.

‘Coffee with an Architect’ is organised by the EAA Education Working Group. We are inviting nominations for new Council members and seeking new members to sit on our Working Groups.
